Ric Burns documentary “Into the Deep: America, Whaling & the World” premiered on May 10, 2010 on PBS/American Experience, featuring aerials by Aerial Filmworks.

Gray Mitchell of Aerial Filmworks was the Camera Operator for Ric Burns new documentary “Into the Deep: America, Whaling & the World“, a co-production of Steeplechase Films and American Experience / WGBH Boston. Dan Sweazen of Executive Helicopter provided the Bell 206B3 Jet Ranger helicopter.

The film, narrated by Willem Dafoe, focuses on the history of the American whaling industry.

Gray Mitchell of Aerial Filmworks provided New York City aerials for Charles Ferguson’s new documentary “Inside Job”, narrated by Matt Damon, which will make it’s world premiere at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. The timely film focuses on the current global financial crisis, and will be released by Sony Pictures Classics. Ferguson’s 2007 film “No End in Sight” was nominated for an Academy Award.
