Air-To-Air Filming of Hawaiian Airline’s First Commercial Airplane

Ron Chapple of Aerial Filmworks worked with The Traveling Picture Show Company and Director Chris Woods to shoot air-to-air of Hawaiian Airlines first airplane. The Bellanca aircraft was completed restored and a new Pratt & Whitney rotary engine installed. Filming was on Oahu at sunrise.

The camera ship was provided by Sunshine Helicopters and piloted by Jedrick Squyres while the Bellanca was flown by Mark Dunkerley, the CEO of Hawaiian Airlines.
Aerial Filmworks Provides Aerials for Taiwan’s Yangmingshan National Park

Aerial Filmworks just completed a week long aerial filming project in Taiwan. Produced by The Editing Company in Taipei City, Ron Chapple was the Aerial DP and camera operator for theYangmingshan National Park new visitor film. The park, with extensive land area in the northern regions of Taiwan, consists of ancient volcanic peaks that are known as the “soul” of Taipei.
Rebecca Giblin of Aerial Filmworks arranged for the international US State Department export permits and specialized ATA Tecrocarnet for the temporary export of the equipment.
