Why Choose Us?
Why Choose Aerial Filmworks For Your Project?
• We’re a dedicated creative team that has one goal- making your project a success.
• The Sony 1500 CineAlta camera in the Cineflex is “tweaked” against the color chart using vectorscopes to ensure perfect color. We contract with a professional DIT on a regular basis to make sure the camera is providing the widest range of color and gamma possible.
• We test the cameras and clean the inside of every gimbal before every shoot.
• Our camera operators completed a two day technical training course at the Cineflex lab in Grass Valley, California to facilitate any unforeseen field repairs.
• We have both heavy duty cases and lighter weight “checked luggage” cases for flexibility in our delivery options. Under the right conditions, we can deliver a 1 day project in any state other than Alaska and Hawaii.
• When possible, we maximize our scheduling so two or more clients can share shipping and travel expenses.
• With two production trucks on the East Coast and another in Hawaii, we can save our clients vehicle rental expenses.
• Both our Cineflex systems and our Sony CineAlta record decks are sent in for regular firmware upgrades assuring the latest in technology improvements.
• We have a Mac edit suite at our North Carolina studio with the latest Kona 3 card to import full-resolution HDCAM SR tapes. We review footage on a 17″ Panasonic Broadcast monitor and link out to a 40″ Sony 1080p flat screen for client previews. Our gigabit network includes a 13 terabyte RAID and Apple xServe.
• Both our camera operators are accomplished still photographers. We can fly the Cineflex from the co-pilot seat and have a photographer shooting images from the back seat with either our Hasselblad H3D 39 megapixel or Canon 1Ds MIII 21 megapixel cameras.
• Our founder, Ron Chapple, has over 25 years of location experience. We anticipate and manage the challenges of every project.
