Aerial Filmworks maintains excellent relationships with highly qualified film pilots and helicopter companies around the world. We have years of experience mounting Cineflex V14HD systems to Bell 206-B3 Jet Rangers, Bell 206-L3 and L4 Long Rangers, Bell 407s, and Eurocopter AS350 Astars and AS355 Twinstars. We have also built and modified mounts to fit various military and police aircraft on international projects.

There are many projects when filming must take place at a remote location, or limited helicopter availability. In addition, bringing in a helicopter is often more efficient to have the same pilot and aircraft throughout the entire project. On one recent documentary project, we saved our client over $18,000 of ferry time by trailering the helicopter from the last location back to the hangar.

Precision Air-Ride Suspension

The helicopter is trailered on a custom manufactured trailer with aluminum wheels and triple air-ride axles. The helicopter skids rest on thick rubber matting, while the gooseneck rides on an Air-Safe hitch. The new diesel-powered 2011 Ford F350 DRW has air-ride suspension on the rear axle.

Aerial Filmworks offers our trailering services to any helicopter operator for maintenance and operational requirements. We maintain a DOT registration and have professional drivers with Commercial Drivers License.

Marketing Opportunties

The trailer and truck have larger “banner” areas where a client’s logo can be highly visible as the truck travels the highways. Everyone looks at the helicopter! We also offer custom helicopter paint and branding opportunities for large projects. Please inquire.
